Ab-o -Atash or Prophet Ibrahim Park
History and Address
Before talking about the stunning elements of the park, let’s talk about its history. Actually, the park is recently-made and is considered a modern attraction of the city. It was opened on June 27, 2009, by the 55th Mayor of Tehran. With an area over 24000 square meters, it is located in northern Tehran. Through Tabi’at Bridge, the park is connected with Taleqani forest park and on the south connected with Nowruz Park through Abrisham Bridge. One of the most popular features of the park is the view of Tabi’at Bridge which is a well-liked attraction of the city.
Features of Ab-o-Atash Park
There are four fire towers in the park making flames up to 8 meters in height alongside a water-playing area in which children play joyfully especially during the hot seasons of the year. During the fire-and-water show, some exciting music tracks are also played. An amphitheater with the capacity of 370 people, cafeterias and restaurants, a horse-training area, a lighthouse, and gazebos are other things you can find there. In addition, walking routes, bike paths, skating and skateboarding sites have been designed for sport lovers. You can spend the whole day there enjoying different activates, special foods and drinks, and most importantly the great view of the park and Tabi’at Bridge.
The Best Time to Visit Ab-o -Atash Park
To be fair, there is no best time to visit since the park has a vivid view in all seasons; however, spring and autumn seem to be better choices since the weather is absolutely pleasant and the plants are colorful and eye-catching. There are a number of hotels, cafes, and traditional and modern restaurants close to the park making it easy for you to stay a couple of days there visiting other attractions of the city.
